International Women’s Day—celebrated on March 8, 2022—is a globally recognized day to honor the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. It is also a day to shine a light on the steps we still need to take to accelerate women’s equality. The theme selected this year is #BreakTheBias, inviting us to imagine a gender equal world—a world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination; a world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive; and a world where differences are valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women’s equality. Collectively we can all #BreakTheBias.
Morrison & Foerster has a deep-seated history of supporting and promoting the advancement of women both within the firm and in the legal profession. We are committed to creating a culture of inclusion in which our women lawyers can thrive professionally, while balancing the duties and responsibilities of life outside the firm. Our Women’s Strategy Committee (WSC) works closely with firm leadership, including the firm’s chair, firm managing partners, and the board of directors, to ensure that the advancement of women is a constant strategic priority.
