MoFo alumni do great things.
Alumnus Adam Heintz is no exception. In his recent interview in our MoForever alumni magazine, Adam discusses how his experience as a litigation associate prepared him for his role as director of pro bono services at Legal Services NYC (LSNYC), the largest organization in the United States focused on providing free civil legal services to low-income individuals.
As the organization’s first director of pro bono services in LSNYC’s 50-year history, Adam draws on his experience with MoFo, including extensive pro bono projects, to create and manage a formal pro bono program that benefits nearly 90,000 New Yorkers.
“I gained so much at MoFo — strong case management skills which are invaluable in running a large program — and, especially, an understanding of what it takes to have a pro bono case be successful at a law firm.”
Under Adam’s direction, LSNYC’s pro bono program has more than doubled and new initiatives, including the LSNYC Immigration Pro Bono Campaign, are thriving.
