The MoFo Summit for Women In-House Counsel is always a highlight of the calendar year. Since 2012, more than 550 senior women lawyers have joined us for a one-of-a-kind program that is by women, for women about substantive legal issues and professional challenges facing women lawyers today. Year in and year out, participants tell us that the MoFo Summit for Women In-House Counsel is one of the best programs for women lawyers that they have ever attended.
On April 20, we hosted over 230 women lawyers — including 54 general counsel and 49 assistant general counsel — in Half Moon Bay, California, for a day of programs organized around the theme, “Focus on the Future — Empowering Female Leaders.”
Substantive panels and interactive workshops equipped the women lawyers in attendance with the tools needed to become trusted advisers, reach higher professional goals, and thrive in the legal profession.
Highlights included a moderated discussion about the role of women general counsel today, featuring Dorian Daley (Oracle), Julie Gruber (Gap), and Lori Schechter (McKesson), as well as an interactive presentation led by Cara Hale Alter of SpeechSkills about how to project confidence and competence to build leadership presence.
