What do you like best about your work?
Each matter presents its own challenges, and I love collaborating with clients and colleagues to reach practical solutions. I like that understanding the law in isolation is generally not enough and that each case requires learning the client and the client’s industry. Also, being a native Spanish speaker has enabled me to do white-collar work in Latin America and opened many opportunities for cross-border matters.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
My husband and I have always enjoyed traveling and seeing new places. Since having our daughter, we really appreciate seeing the world through her eyes.
What is your favorite thing about living in your current city?
I live in Hoboken, NJ—which is right across the river from New York City. What I like the most is the sense of community. It has that small-town feel, while still being a city in its own right with all the amenities you would expect. I love that when I walk my daughter to school in the morning, we literally pass dozens of families going to a number of different schools, but we know them all from activities around the city.
