This year, attorneys and business professionals across MoFo’s offices came together to celebrate Earth Month in April.
Leading up to Earth Month, we collected 523 “MoFoEco Pledges” firmwide. These pledges cover topics such as waste diversion, energy efficiency, and alternative commuting practices, both at home and at work, and were customized by each office. They also served as an awareness-building opportunity with helpful “how-to” resources at the end of the pledge forms.
In addition, we hosted our longtime pro bono partner, The Nature Conservancy, for a firmwide Earth Month webinar featuring examples of how we have worked together on projects to “Invest in Our Planet” as a reflection of this year’s Earth Day theme. MoFo’s Environmental Sustainability Committees also hosted events and volunteered in their offices and communities. Some highlights included:
- Reusable mug ice cream socials
- Beach cleanups
- A bike tune-up event
- A soap recycling workshop
Although Earth Month concluded at the end of April, environmental sustainability remains an important part of MoFo’s culture year-round.
