Pro Bono All-Star: Adam Hunt

On May 1, the New York Bar Association honored MoFo associate Adam Hunt with the President’s Pro Bono Service Award.

Adam received the award as part of NYSBA’s Law Day celebration for his pro bono work on various projects, most notably the reform of solitary confinement in New York State prisons; the implementation of safeguards against unwarranted surveillance of religious and political groups by the New York City Police Department; a continuing effort to raise the state’s payments to foster parents so they can better meet the needs of foster children in their care; and successfully winning asylum for a victim of torture from the Republic of Congo.

Adding to the honor, Adam won the award for the First Judicial District (Manhattan) — the location with the single largest concentration of lawyers in the United States.
